Nutrition Response Testing

Poor nutrition often leads to deficits or imbalances in the body. This can result in a loss of resistance or immunity, as well as a reduced capacity to cope with environmental challenges (chemical, metal, microscopic, or otherwise). Symptoms can include problems with:

  • Indigestion
  • Gas
  • Bloating
  • Reflux
  • Constipation/diarrhea
  • Exhaustion
  • Lack of sleep
  • Allergies
  • Weight gain/loss
  • Frequent colds/infections
  • Asthma
  • Menstruation issues
  • Urinary dysfunction
  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Behavioral disorders such as ADD

Nutrition Response Testing (NRT) is a technique used by Dr. William Lyden at Michiana Wellness & Longevity Clinic, utilizing various NET meridian access point reflexes on the surface of the body to determine the individual's health and the performance of all of the body's organs.

NRT is considered to be a highly accurate and scientific method. The following is a quick rundown of what NRT is and how it may help you improve your health.

Analysis

This is accomplished by putting the body's own neurological reflexes to the test. The nerve system's routes and how the points impact the body's organs determine the Acupuncture/Meridian sites. A distinct organ, tissue, or function is represented by each organ reflex point. The influence of energy on the reflex is shown by the reflex's reaction.

The Methodology

Your chiropractor will ask you to lie down with one arm extended toward the ceiling. They will do a sensitivity test. They put pressure on your arm and instruct you to resist and meet it. You will simply be pushing against the chiropractor to match the force with which the chiropractor is pressing.

After that, your chiropractor will place a hand on the reflex sites. When the reflex is triggered, the neurological system responds by reducing energy flow to that location, causing your outstretched arm to weaken. This might be highly noticeable or quite subtle. During the exam, our team will try our best to show you the difference. The dip in your arm indicates underlying stress or malfunction in that organ, which may be impacting your health.

Supplementation with Nutrients

The next stage is to test certain high-quality nutritional formulae against the weak area to determine exactly what your body requires to restore its strength. These disharmonies are what triggered the response in the first place.

NRT is often used by your team to assess how your body is working and to determine the specific nutrients you require to assist in the restoration of balance and improved health. Contact your chiropractor, Dr. William Lyden at 574-258-4444 to learn more!
